History
Our Group’ history dates back to 1967, when the company was incorporated under the name Parque de Atracciones Casa de Campo de Madrid, S.A. (The Madrid Casa de CampoÌýTheme Park). Since then, our history has spanned over 50 years of continued growth and diversification.
From being a primarily Spanish business, Parques Reunidos has evolved into a leading international operator. Today, the company has a total of more than 30 parks located in countries across Europe and Australia.
Parques Reunidos has carried out targeted strategic acquisitions over recent years to support the development of the business, successfully integrating 57 parks.
This strategy makes Parques Reunidos the most active acquirer of individual leisure parks in Europe.
In 2003, we have successfully rolled out an operating business model for Spain focused on safety and operational excellence, customer satisfaction, strict cost control, and attention to detail. We later applied this business strategy to our expansion and acquisitions plans across Europe between 2004 and 2006.
Finally, the expansion phase we have experienced since 2007 has transformed our Group into a truly global operator with an established breadth of parks across Europe and Australia. Since then, the Group has continued to seek attractive growth opportunities worldwide.
